Just the same as with scalars and vectors, you can use letters of the alphabet, or other similar symbols, to stand for vectors.
So, instead of writing out , or any other matrix, each time you use it in an equation; you could just write:
Let A =
and then subsequently just use the symbol A to represent that particular matrix in equations, thereby saving your sanity.
Note that unlike scalars and vectors, it's customary to represent vectors with capital letters. (A, B, C, D, etc.)
